Every pool filter has a backwash setting among other multiport valve settings, which is important in cleaning your filter at least once a week for sand filter and after 3 – 4 weeks for DE filters in order to free the filter of dirt and debris it has collected while filtering your pool water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you don’t backwash your pool filter frequently, your filtering media especially Sand and DE agents will be clogged with dirt and debris and will not filter your water turning pool water dirty or cloudy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u6211\u600e\u4e48\u77e5\u9053\u6211\u7684\u6cf3\u6c60\u8fc7\u6ee4\u5668\u9700\u8981\u53cd\u51b2\u6d17\uff1f<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

There are a few signs that will tell you when it’s time to backwash your pool filter, however, a good swimming pool cleaning practice is to backwash your pool filter at least once a week especially when your fill-water is not very clean. You will know your filter needs backwashing when:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. \u6cf3\u6c60\u6cf5\u566a\u97f3\u5f88\u5927 <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2.  \u901a\u8fc7\u56de\u6d41\u55b7\u5634\u6d41\u5165\u6c34\u6c60\u7684\u6c34\u6d41\u901f\u5ea6\u5f88\u6162<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. \u6cf5\u538b\u529b\u8868\u663e\u793a\u7684\u538b\u529b\u6bd4\u6e05\u6d01\u538b\u529b\u6216\u542f\u52a8\u6b63\u5e38\u538b\u529b\u9ad8\u51fa 8-10 \u78c5\/\u5e73\u65b9\u82f1\u5bf8 (psi)\u3002<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. FC \u6c34\u5e73\u6b63\u5e38\u65f6\uff0c\u6c34\u59cb\u7ec8\u6d51\u6d4a<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    \u5982\u679c\u60a8\u53d1\u73b0\u6cf3\u6c60\u51fa\u73b0\u8fd9\u4e9b\u8ff9\u8c61\uff0c\u5219\u5f88\u6709\u53ef\u80fd\u662f\u8fc7\u6ee4\u5668\u5835\u585e\u4e86\uff0c\u60a8\u9700\u8981\u53cd\u51b2\u6d17\u5e76\u6f02\u6d17\u51e0\u6b21\u624d\u80fd\u89e3\u51b3\u8fd9\u4e9b\u95ee\u9898\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Secondly, since you don’t want to backwash DE powder next to your pool, you will need a \u53cd\u51b2\u6d17\u8f6f\u7ba1<\/a> \u5c06\u6c61\u6c34\u4ece\u60a8\u7684\u6cf3\u6c60\u4e2d\u6392\u51fa\u3002<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Turn off the pump. Don’t ever move your filter’s multiport valve while the pump is on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \u5c06\u53cd\u51b2\u6d17\u8f6f\u7ba1\u8fde\u63a5\u5230\u8fc7\u6ee4\u5668\u7684\u53cd\u51b2\u6d17\u55b7\u5634\uff0c\u4ee5\u5c06\u53cd\u51b2\u6d17\u6c34\u548c DE \u7c89\u672b\u8fdc\u79bb\u6c34\u6c60\u533a\u57df\u3002 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Move your filter’s multiport valve from Filter to Backwash setting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Turn the pump back on and let it backwash for about a minute. Your filter’s view glass will tell you when the filter is finally clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You may have to alternate your valve between backwash and rinse a couple of times or so until the water in your filter’s view glass turns clear. Don’t forget to turn off your pump when alternating between different filter settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If the backwash cycle for your DE filter is below 3 -4 weeks, it’s time to clean your DE filter. Cleaning DE filter should be done at least once or twice every year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
